Rachin Ravindra is a talented all-rounder who brings balance with his top-order batting and handy left-arm orthodox spin. He shot to global prominence during the 2023 ODI World Cup in India, where he amassed 578 runs, the most for New Zealand, at an average of 64.22, including three centuries. That breakout campaign opened the doors to the TATA IPL. Chennai Super Kings secured him for INR 1.8 Crore after a bidding tussle with Delhi Capitals and Punjab Kings. Ravindra made an immediate impact in IPL 2024, scoring 37 off 15 balls on debut against Royal Challengers Bengaluru and following it up with a 20-ball 46 against Gujarat Titans. For IPL 2026, Ravindra moves to Kolkata Knight Riders as a backup option. His bowling has often been underutilized in the IPL, but he recently showcased its value by finishing as New Zealand’s leading wicket-taker in the T20 World Cup, with 12 wickets at an average of 12.41.
